Beekeeping in Regent's Park

I went to the Regent's Park beekeeping course today and it was brilliant! I've already asked for details of how to join my local beekeeping club... 

British Nationals Saint Andre les Alps

Arriving in France and joining up with Pete, I came down with a miserable cold. This stopped my flying in the Nationals (29 August - 4 September). Considering the strong conditions, this may have been fortunate (9 reserves deployed, including Pete's and several crashes - everyone more or less OK). 


Coughing and snuffling I still enjoyed seeing the huge gaggles from the ground - and watching the griffin vultures and other wildlife in the Verdun Gorge.

Women's Paragliding Open 2010

Great fun comp in the Ager sun 21 -28 August. Strong themals and strong sink, which had me on the ground more often than I expected.

BPCup

After five rounds of competition with only one real task, a hopeful forcast for Sunday 15 August... I only achieved a top to bottom flight. Minimum distance was enough to allow me to (just) win the Womens Comp. Super trophy, prizes and champagne!! Oh yes, and cake too. Amazing.
